Edwards RV12 8.4 CFM Two-Stage Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump, 115/230V 1-Ph| USA Lab

The Edwards RV8 is a compact, oil-sealed two-stage rotary vane pump delivering up to 8.4 CFM of reliable rough vacuum. Backed by 80+ years of Edwards engineering, the RV series combines excellent ultimate pressure, superior vapor handling, and quiet operation for demanding lab and industrial workflows.

This RV8 is equipped with a fast-acting automatic inlet valve for best-in-class anti-suckback protection, a universal 115/230V single-phase motor (factory set to 115V), and a two-position gas ballast with a mode selector to optimize performance for your process.

Each pump ships pre-filled with Ultragrade 19 oil and is designed for easy maintenance—polymer blades, self-aligning components, and serviceable shaft seals minimize downtime.

 

 Oil-sealed vacuum pumps ship with oil. Follow local hazmat rules for transport and disposal.
 Inspect on delivery; report concealed damage within 3 business days.

What is the pumping speed of the RV8?

The RV5 delivers up to 8.4 CFM at 60 Hz (≈4 CFM nominal) making it ideal for roughing and turbo backing.

Does the pump include oil?

Yes. RV pumps are supplied with an initial charge of Ultragrade 19 oil. Check the sight glass and top off after installation.

Can I run with a gas ballast?

Yes. The two-position gas ballast (GB I / GB II) increases vapor handling to help prevent condensation in the oil during wet loads.

What power is required?

The universal single-phase motor supports 115/230V, 50/60 Hz. This unit ships factory set to 115V.
