Digivac Vapor Pressure Controller

The DigiVac Vapor Pressure Controller (VPC), is a rugged, modern vacuum measurement and control instrument designed to make vacuum measurement and regulation easy through the use of a simple LED readout and large tactile buttons. Electronically, it is a highly accurate digital vacuum gauge utilizing field-proven isolated vacuum sensor technology coupled with reliable valve and plumbing parts. This regulator was specifically designed for chemistry distillations that can be aided by precise pressure control. The VPC facilitates separating chemicals that have vapor pressures as close as 10 Torr to one another. It can also be used to prevent bumping by gradually changing the pressure. The VPC can also help save your pump, widen the choices of pumps you can use for low temperature distillation, and keep vacuum pump oil out of your system.

The DigiVac Vapor Pressure Controller allows you to determine set-points and maintain vacuum at that level. The vacuum regulator is particularly useful when you are looking to maintain pressure at a certain level as needed for botanical processing and rotary evaporation or ideal for any vacuum process that involves vapors. Mounting can be bench-top or on a laboratory pole.

• Display of both the set-point and current vacuum control
• Fine control of target vapor pressure for more precise compound separation through distillation
• Flow path designed to be tolerant of harsh chemicals
• UL, CE, CSA and RoHS Certified, Fully safety certified for USA, Canada and Europe

Easy to use and operate, the VPC has just four ports/plug ins on the back of the unit
-USB Communication
-Power Jack
-Hose Barb for Vessel, Flask, or Tank
-Hose Barb for Vacuum Pump

The front of the gauge is similar in terms of being straightforward. It has displays of both your current vacuum and chosen setpoint, as well as a numerical up/down control, regulation button, and power switch. Just hook your Vacuum Pump to one side, the Rotovap to the other side and plug it in. If you’d like specific ramp rates and time duration, then install the free software, hook up the USB to connect the unit to the computer hosting the software and you can set up your process profile. The vacuum system is what you are going to regulate, an example being your Rotovap, vessel, flask or vacuum oven. Once the unit is set up and regulating, the process can also be observed within the software, thus telling you how your system and pump are performing.
