USA Lab Glass Thermowell - Various Sizes 2L & 5L
The USA Lab Glass Thermowell is designed to reduce the risk of leaks while allowing temperature readings to be taken during laboratory processes. The long glass tube is sealed at one end and can be partially filled with a heat-transfer fluid such as silicone oil.
A thermometer can be inserted into the thermowell while the sealed end is immersed in the contents of a boiling flask. Heat transfers through the thermowell to the thermometer, allowing temperature readings without directly exposing the thermometer to the process contents.
The opposite end features a female 24/40 joint designed to provide an airtight and dependable connection. The 24/40 joint should be greased to help establish a tight and secure seal during use. Available in sizes for 2L and 5L laboratory setups.
