PURE-FLO B80 Bleaching Clay is a cost-effective bleaching adsorbent designed for the pretreatment and bleaching adsorption of edible oils and fats. This domestically sourced carbon chemistry bleaching clay is formulated to support the removal of color bodies during processing.
PURE-FLO B80 Bleaching Clay provides excellent metals adsorption and helps remove moderate levels of chlorophyll and color bodies from vegetable oils. It also supports the removal of soaps and phospholipids while offering favorable filtration characteristics, including long filtration cycles and reduced pressure buildup toward the end of a cycle.
With an odorless profile, gray to tan powder appearance, 63 μm micron size, and insoluble behavior in water, PURE-FLO B80 is suitable for applications including physical refining of palm oil, color removal from cottonseed, tallow, coconut, palm and other oils, and chlorophyll removal from oils with moderate chlorophyll levels.
